  • Sekitar 1 tahun lalu ketika saya sedang bimbingan tugas akhir dengan Beliau.
  • Didit (D) : Bapak, bagaimana dengan nilai IPK saya ini ya? Sebentar lagi sudah mau lulus, tapi IPK saya masih begini-begini saja...
  • (alm) Dr. Ir. S.B. Hari Lubis (H): oh, kenapa kamu khawatir?
  • D : Ya khawatir Pak. Kalau melihat IPK kawan-kawan saya yang lain, rasanya saya minder banget.
  • H : Dit, saya kasih tahu. Banyak anak yang mendapat IPK bagus itu artinya mereka lulus dengan baik dari kurikulum TI ITB periode ini. Lulus dari kurikulum kehidupan itu belum tentu. Maka, apa yang kamu khawatirkan hanya dari sekedar nilai yang kamu dapat dari ITB ?
  • Saya langsung terdiam ketika mendengar Beliau berkata hal ini.
  • Kalimat tersebut keluar dari seorang luar biasa yang seumur hidupnya memakan asam-garam kehidupan yang Beliau pandang dari perspektif cara kerja organisasi yang ideal. Sesuai dengan nilai-nilai yang Beliau anut hasil kuliah ilmu Organisasi di Grenoble, Prancis.
  • Ketika saya sudah lulus kuliah dan kemudian menjalani sedikit fase kehidupan paska lulus, saya mulai memaknai lebih dalam akan pesan Beliau tersebut.
  • Sayang sekali, Beliau saat ini sudah tiada. Meninggalkan banyak makna untuk saya. Saya tidak mempunyai kesempatan lagi untuk berbincang panjang lebar dengan Beliau seperti dahulu.
  • Ingin sekali rasanya saya bercerita kepada beliau akan sedikit pengalaman yang saya alami setelah lulus, tentang sedikit kurikulum kehidupan yang saya sudah jalani selama ini.
  • Tetapi, inilah kehidupan. Sang Pencipta mungkin menetapkan bahwa Bapak Hari Lubis sudah waktunya lulus dari kurikulum kehidupan sehingga Beliau dipanggil untuk kembali intim dengan Sang Pencipta di alam sana.
  • Tentu saja, saya yang masih menjalani sebagian kecil dari kurikulum kehidupan ini menjadi gelisah. Suatu saat nanti ketika saya dipanggil menghadap Sang Pencipta, itu artinya saya telah lulus kurikulum kehidupan dengan nilai yang baik? Atau malah saya dipanggil karena nilai saya selama menjalani kurikulum kehidupan ini setali tiga uang dengan nilai IPK Sarjana saya, bahkan mungkin lebih rendah? Oh, tentu suatu saat nanti, kita pasti akan mengetahuinya.
  • Demikian. Semoga perkataan dari Bapak Hari Lubis ini juga bisa menambah perspektif bagi kamu-kamu yang sedang menjalani kurikulum kehidupan yang penuh dengan "kuis", "tugas besar", "presentasi", dan juga "ujian" yang tiada hentinya mendera kita semua.
  • *tulisan ini saya persembahkan untuk Bapak Hari Lubis. Karena Beliau, saya bisa lulus ITB dengan tidak sekedar dengan bekal nilai A untuk tugas akhir. Tapi dengan banyak perspektif-perspektif bijak untuk memandang kehidupan ini yang tidak pernah saya dapatkan selama masa perkuliahan saya di ITB. : )

This “Mad World” video clip was directed in 2004 by Michel Gondry. This video is in One Take Shot. That was an absolutely amazing work by the production team. Kudos to them!
I watched Donnie Darko last year and those movie really haunt me on every aspect. Donnie Darko is an excellent movie- one of my favorites.
I love this song, it fits Donnie Darko perfectly. This song is so beautifully sad. Every time I watch Donnie Darko, this song sends chills down my spine. It is just so well placed in the movie.
What makes the song great is that it says to the listener that all the troubles in the world, all the sorrow, all the hopelessness you are experiencing is not your fault, it’s just the nature of the world. Which is in effect both reassuring and depressing, because yes you are no longer at fault for whatever has caused you this misery, but then the blame is placed on something that is totally random and out of your control- the world. Hence “Mad World”.

The Groove - Khayalan (2001)

Dari jaman SMP gw sudah senang mendengarkan lagu ini & gw selalu suka dengan konsep video klip “khayalan” ini :)

Sang model pria melewati jalanan protokol di Jakarta sembari menggelindingkan bola plastik angin dengan ukuran yang sangat besar untuk menuju tempat konser The Groove dimana telah ada sang model wanita yang telah menunggu kedatangan model pria :D

Di tahun 2001 ketika video klip ini dibuat tentu saja daerah Bunderan HI, Thamrin, dan sekitarnya belum semacet seperti tahun 2011 ini, sehingga konsep menggelindingkan bola raksasa ini dapat terwujud. Beruntung sekali The Groove dapat mewujudkan video klip seperti “khayalan” ini.

Nampaknya juga sudah menjadi khayalan belaka di masa kini untuk membuat video klip dengan konsep seperti ini di Jakarta, kecuali di tengah malam. haha. Jadi, silakan dinikmati video klip “Khayalan” ini dan selamat berkhayal tentang kekasih idaman ataupun juga tentang Jakarta yang diidam-idamkan :D

It’s really a great song, very sweet and meaningful. Of course it means that silence is very important in some sort of connection between two.

I think this song just expresses exactly how powerful words can be among people. He’s saying “Enjoy The Silence” because once the silence is broken, you are bound to be hurt at one point or another. Which is very true…
